My Story

Unfold
the journey so far.

As a freelance digital marketer in Alappuzha, I get asked how a design background ended up here. This is that answer, told the way I would tell it in person. Some parts you will just read. Some you will need to unlock.

Moments unlocked: 0 / 5
It started with accessory design at the National Institute of Fashion Technology, learning to think in materials, form, and the small visual decisions most people never notice. But one subject was never going to hold my curiosity. Across college, I kept wandering into footwear, jewellery, furniture, decor, and bags, not because I could not decide, but because I wanted to know how form and story changed across every one of them.
Tap these in the order I explored them: furniture, decor, bag
By the end of college, all that range felt less like direction and more like confusion. It took a full career, actually, to see that the wandering itself was the point. The same range now shapes how I work as a freelance digital marketer in Alappuzha.

During college, I worked at a furniture and interior design house, my first real studio experience. It taught me how colour, texture, and space are not decoration, they are how a brand actually gets felt, long before anyone reads a word about it.

I got a Pre Placement Offer from this project.

My NIFT thesis combined home decor and game design, an odd pairing on paper, but exactly the kind of cross wiring I had been doing all along. It earned me a Pre Placement Offer, and I spent the next year working with that brand.

A year later, at a cosmetic brand, my role went beyond design. I created social media creatives for different platforms, content, ad campaigns, and packaging design. That is the year digital marketing quietly became part of my everyday work.
Scroll slowly through the box below, all the way down, no jumping.

An idea alone does not travel very far.

I could design something beautiful, but if no one saw it, it stayed exactly where it was made.

So I went looking for the other half, the part where an idea actually reaches people.

That is what led me to CDA Academy, a complete, structured view of digital marketing.

Not to replace my design background. To upgrade it.

You are nearly at the bottom now.

Keep going, slowly.

Almost there.

This is the last line, well done for not rushing it.

too fast, ease up and try again
Today, I carry both halves, the idea, and the way to spread it. Whatever structure I bring into a project now traces back to the months I spent training at CDA Academy, where design instinct finally met a proper method, SEO, campaigns, analytics, and content, all in one place. That is what I bring into every brand I work with now, as a freelance digital marketer in Alappuzha.
Idea + Voice

Now I have both.

That is the whole story, a designer's eye, upgraded with a marketer's toolkit. If you have a brief, a rough idea, or just want to talk, I am Sandra, freelance digital marketer in Alappuzha, and I would love to hear it.
